The Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake (Crotalus adamanteus) lives in the coastal lowlands, ranging from Southeast North Carolina to eastern Louisiana, and
throughout Florida. It is one of the largest snakes in North America. They are primarily solitary, and most active in the evening or early morning. Some snakes
will let you approach without making a sound, others will rattle from 20-30 feet away. The adults have no natural enemies. Although it may bite, this snake is
extremely benficial to man, since it preys on small mammals, many of which are pests to man.
This unique sign from BrandyDesigns would look great outside your snake room, or it could be made as a “Welcome” sign for your home.
