With their ability to run great distances and to run with a horse and carriage, the Dalmatian would carefully guide the firemen through streets of busy traffic.

Today, with motorized fire trucks replacing horse-drawn carriages, the Dalmatian has become the firehouse mascot. The mascot is used by the fire
