Bright red birds have always had an irresistible appeal. At one time, the cardinal was a favorite cage bird, and was trapped commercially by the tens of
thousands. They are very common in the southern states, but live as far north as southern Ontario. They typically remain within a quarter mile of their homes.

The figures and the mailbox are hand painted on both sides. The figures are both glued and screwed onto aluminum mailboxes, which meet
USPS regulations. We use T-1 size boxes, which measure 8-3/4” high, 6-3/4” wide, and 19” deep.
